The Minister of State for Trade and Development, Ms. Jan O’Sullivan T.D. met students from several schools that had entered projects for the BT Young Scientist and Technology 2011. On display were projects from the exhibition that related to science for development. The event was held at The Irish Aid Centre, O’Connell St., Dublin. Some of the schools at the event have been involved in CDPC outreach programme. The CDPC would like to congratulate students from Colaiste Bhride, Carnew, Sutton Park, Dublin and Presentation De La Salle, Bagenalstown who displayed their projects and met Minister Jan O’Sullivan. Colaiste Bride displayed their project on TB, Sutton Park on Cellulase and Biofuels and James from PDLS, displayed his project on Hedge Row cuttings as a Biofuel. This project was overall runner up of this year BTYoung Scientist and Technology Exhibition 2011.
