Suas Global Issues Seminar Series: 6-week courses in Cork, Dublin, Galway and Maynooth

Warning: This is NOT a lecture!

You know those great conversations you have with someone about an issue such as climate change and it ends up being a light hearted yet highly interesting debate?!That's what our Global Issues courses are like!

It's a great way to meet other people interested in these issues and at the same time you have the opportunity to learn about Global Issues from leading experts in the field.

Each weekly session lasts for two hours and is a mixture of presentation and an interactive component such as a group exercise or discussion.

Our facilitators have a wide range of work and academic experience. Here are some examples of the type of people you'll have access to:

Dr. David Weakliam (AIDS/HIV): Consultant in public health medicine for the HSE, Advisor to Irish Aid, RCSI Lecturer in the International Health and Tropical Medicine department.

Michael Doorly (Child Labour/Child Soldiers): Head of the Active Citzenship for Concern.

Sadhbh Coyle (Education): Educational Psychologist for the Department of Education: Former Suas Partner Support for India, Kenya and Haiti.
